Random Card of the Day #61:
Savage Silhouette - 2G
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 and has "{1}{G}: Regenerate this creature."
Initial thoughts:
Okay, so I think I've already mentioned my hate for Auras. Not enchantments, just Auras. I don't like playing them all. This enchantment however, I'm a little less likely to hate.
You see, the reason that I hate auras is because it is too easy to get 2-for-1'd; all you have to do is remove the enchanted creature, this can be done before the enchantment enters the battlefield or even after. Because this enchantment regenerates, it atleast prevents the after-removal, but you will still have to keep 1G open, which can hinder your plays.
As mentioned before, the best enchantments are the ones to come back such as Rancor and Angelic Destiny. The only way to get rid of them is to kill the creature it would be enchanted to before it enters the battlefield, because then it is countered due to lack of legal targets, never enters the battlefield, and thus doesn't get sent back to hand. I actually had to do this recently when someone tried to play Rancor on Elvish Warrior, I had to use Serrated Arrows and Disfigure to make sure Rancor is gone for good. That card can cause nightmares--Lolzor would know, I once had Forgotten Ancient with Rancor, Armadillo Cloak, and Spider Umbra on it.
It's a good card, but it's not a great or perfect enchantment, and I definitely wouldn't play it. But, it still serves it's purpose and since it's green try putting it on Gladecover Scout. 3/5
